One does have to feel sorry for Demi Moore. Not so much that her marriage to Ashton Kutcher broke up, but because she appears to be such a fragile person, someone who needs loving caretakers around her now.

Particularly Bruce Willis, her ex-husband and the father of her three daughters. He has been supportive of Demi’s marriage throughout, probably knowing how much she needed a loving companion, no matter what the age. Demi may be a woman who can never be alone, who can feel desperately isolated and fearful. I would guess that her family is worried about self-harm.

Demi really needed long-term psychotherapy to help her live her life as a strong and independent woman. It’s not too late for her. She can get help. But she may be so fragile, emotionally and psychologically, that she cannot bring herself to consult with a therapist. It takes strength to do that. Unfortunately, some people who are the most troubled are too frightened to ask for help when they need it.
